It has some dependencies which you can automatically resolve by running apt-get -f install. If it does not work you probably chose the wrong packet from stable/testing/unstable. During the installation you will be asked for the directory your backups will be saved in. This directory can be changed by running dpkg-reconfigure urbackup-server. You have to copy all files from the old to the new directory first! In /etc/default/urbackupsrv you can change some settings like the TCP-port, the log file, the log level or the port on which the build-in web server will listen. It may be important to change the temporary file directory because UrBackup can use up much space there. The web interface is available at port 55414. To restrict the access you have to create an admin account in Settings→Users. Without this account everyone can access all backups using the web interface.

In /etc/default/urbackupclient cambiare in RESTORE=server-confirms se si vuole fare il restore dal web.

In /usr/local/etc/urbackup/ creare script eseguibili con nome prefilebackup o postfilebackup in caso di commandi prima, o dopo il backup.

Disinstallare UrBackup Client

uninstall_urbackupclient

Per gestire i backup, entrare nel seguente indirizzo:

http://10.17.61.172:55414/

Nella prima pagina si vedono tutti i client. Normalmente se gli IP sono nello stesso subnet, appaiono in automatico. Se no. Aggiungere le IP manualmente sul bottone +Aggiungi nuovo client

Andando sul tab Backups in alto al menu. Si possono vedere i backup e fare i restore.

Andando sul tab Impostazioni si possono fare tutte le configurazioni del server.

Nel tab Generale si possono impostare i criteri predefiniti per tutte le macchine che non hanno configurazioni specifiche o che sono aggiunte nuove.

Si consiglia di mettere le impostazioni specifiche per ciascuna macchina nel tab di Impostazioni client Il primo tab File Backups è dove si impostano le cartelle da fare backup.
